Overview
This page explains how to request deletion of data stored in Capy / miCapy ("Capy"). If you accessed Capy through a Meta or WhatsApp integration and want us to delete data received through Meta or WhatsApp, follow the instructions below.
Because Capy is used by businesses to manage conversations with their leads, we may need to verify that the person requesting deletion has authority over the relevant business account before deleting business records.
What you can request to delete
You may request deletion of:
- Your Capy account
- CRM records associated with your business
- WhatsApp integration data (connected account details, templates, webhook-related data)
- Stored messages and conversation history
- Leads, contacts, notes, reminders, and property records
- Data imported or generated through Meta or WhatsApp integrations
How to request deletion
- Email privacy@micapy.com (or hola@micapy.com if you cannot reach the privacy inbox).
- Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request
- Include:
- The email address associated with your Capy account
- Your business or agency name
- The WhatsApp Business phone number connected to Capy (if applicable)
- A description of what should be deleted (full account deletion or specific data)
- We will verify the requester's authority before deleting business data.
- We will confirm by email once deletion is complete.
Timeline
We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information.
Exceptions
We may retain limited data when required or permitted for:
- Legal compliance
- Security and fraud prevention
- Billing, tax, or accounting records
- Dispute resolution
- Backups until they expire in the ordinary backup cycle
Retained data will be isolated and protected until it is deleted in accordance with our retention practices.
Meta and WhatsApp users
If you used Capy through a Meta or WhatsApp integration and want deletion of data received from those platforms, submit a request using the process above. Include your WhatsApp Business phone number and the email on your Capy account so we can locate the correct records.
Deleting data in Capy does not automatically delete data held by Meta or WhatsApp. You may also need to manage data directly through Meta or WhatsApp where applicable.
